The HACC aims to continue connecting Hungary and the US and facilitating communication and mutual assistance to promote entrepreneurial and professional success as well as provide mutual support and information.

DR. BALAZS BODAI, MD,

The HACC created the Bodai Award, named after our member, Dr. Balazs Bodai, MD, Chief of Breast Cancer Surgery at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento, California. In 1999, Dr. Bodai was responsible for designing and launching the sale of the Breast Cancer Stamp through the US Postal Service. He is the founder of curebreastcancer.org, an organization that has helped to raise in excess of $80,000,000 to date for breast and prostate cancer research through the sale of this stamp. Through his Global Journeys Program, Dr. Bodai has expanded his stamp project to 47 countries. In 2005, Hungary became the first country outside of the United States to sell the stamp that raises funds for medical research conducted in Hungary.

THE BODAI AWARD

The Bodai Award honors individuals who have made significant contributions in the fields of commerce, business, science, social engineering, humanitarian and philanthropic activities.

The HACC presents the first Bodai Award to Dr. Balazs Bodai, MD, who combined his entrepreneurial and humanitarian vision to benefit medical research in the US and worldwide.  Please join us for the awarding of the Bodai Award on December 18, 2011 at the  Honorary Consulate of Hungary in San Mateo, California.
